
MARINATED
WHOLE FISH
Our commitment to freshness means our products are prepared upon order and are never subject to freezing. Upon delivery, please refrigerate all items immediately and enjoy them within 3 days for peak flavour. For those looking to enjoy our products at a later time, freezing is an option. Prior to cooking the frozen product, thawing is essential. This can be easily done by immersing the product in lukewarm water for awhile or a leisurely overnight stay in the refrigerator.
For Whole Pomfret, Keralan Pearl Spot and Whole Sardines
Pan fry
1. Remove the contents of the vacuum bag and empty into a bowl. 2. Rub the marinade into the fish well to refresh the marinade. 3. Heat 02-3 tbsp oil in a non-stick frying pan on medium heat. 4. Once the pan is hot, add the marinated fish to the pan. Keep the Heat on low to medium flame. 5. Cover the pan for 3 mins on low flame to cook the fish on each side. 6. Once the fish has browned well on each side, remove from the pan and serve hot.
Grill
1. Light up your barbeque grill and keep a few tablespoons of oil ready at the side. Brush the grill lines with some oil, so that the fish does not stick to the grill. 2. Remove the contents of the vacuum bag and empty into a bowl. 3. Rub the marinade well into the fish. 4. Once the grill is ready, add the fish to the grill. You could also place the fish in aluminium foil to cook initially and then remove and place on the grill to char. Ensure the flame is not too high as that will burn the marinade quickly. 5. Brush the fish with llittle oil from time to time. Cook for 10-15 minutes. Ensure to flip the fish occasionally so that both sides cook well. 6. Once cooked, char the fish on a higher flame and serve hot.
Oven Bake
1. Heat oven to 180 degrees celsius. 2. Remove the contents of the vacuum bag and empty into a bowl. 3. Rub the marinade well into the fish before cooking. 4. Once the oven is hot, brush some oil onto the aluminium foil on the baking tray. Place the fish on the tray. 5. Cook for 10-15 minutes. Ensure to flip the fish occasionally so that each side cooks well. 6. Once cooked, serve hot.
Steam
1.Remove the contents of the vacuum bag and empty into a bowl. 2. Rub the marinade well into the fish. 3. Heat 02-3 tbsp oil in a non-stick frying pan on medium heat. 4. Once the pan is hot, add the marinated fish to the pan. Keep the Heat on low to medium flame. cook each side for 2 mins. Remove and keep aside. 5. Next, heat a steamer. Once hot, wrap the fried fish in banana leaf and place into the steamer. 6. Steam for 5 mins and serve hot.
